Make sure all hoses are disconnected from the spigots. Shut off the water to your outside spigots at the spigot shutoff valve inside your home. If you have an irrigation system you will need to have that shut down and blown out by your irrigation company. If you have frost proof spigots, best practice is to winterize the same as a non frost proof spigot.
